Mom`s Cafe in Pottsboro

One of our favorite places to eat. Close to home. I hear people complain about smoke. Guess we are lucky enough to have not had anyone smoke in there while we were there.

Great and flavorful food, I love the character the spot has, and the workers were super nice. I will definitely come back again.

5 star service for comfort and2 star for food. Must try place!!

I come to this unique restaurant once a month since I like the good air that is characterizes this restaurant. The team is awfuly friendly and experienced. The service is awfully fast. Also, the food you get is first-rate. I have been there often and I was always satisfied. The expense is fair. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

Soooo food was fair kinda blah. Smoking section? Wow. Yes you read that correctly there is a smoking section. Oh and the bathroom was awkward BUT they did have quality toilet paper lmao. Service was awesome. Hence the two stars. She was super friendly and attentive.

I had the Big Omelet, biscuits and gravy. EXCELLENT! Enough food for 2 people. Great food and service. Keep in mind, they allow smoking in one room and non smoking in the other separate room. The separate room for non smoking was good, no smoke smell.

Good service and food. Has smoking and non smoking areas. They're completely separate. Very nice for us non smokers.

This restaurant is right next door to our office! We love being able to pop in and pick up an omelette or some biscuit and gravy for breakfast or for lunch a chicken fried steak, burger or even a taco salad. We usually take it back to the office since it’s so close but when there’s a group of us we eat there. We were so glad when they opened up the part next door that is non smoking. You’ll really enjoy this cozy spot to grab a meal!

Ambience, service,food quality. Just felt like stepping back in Texas to a time before it got swamped with Californians and Yankees. Before politically correct was a thing. Before people worried about what they were eating being appropriate.If you want a real darn good breakfast, this is the place! I will drive way out of my way to have breakfast here! If you are looking for good food, conversation, and the best service you have had in decades, here it is. Even the customers make it more inviting.If you are tired of box stores and food chains, do yourself a favor and look them up. Be friendly and cut up a bit. Give these ladies a smile and tip them well. This is the kind of place you want to still be around 20 yrs from now!

They smoke while they make your food. Gross! Smoke as much as you want. Just not while you make my food. We did not eat here and are very disappointed that we could not because of all the cigarette smoke. Health Code?

Great breakfast place with very reasonable prices. I would give it 5 stars but they allow smoking in the restaurant and don't have a non-smoking section.

Friendly staff and amazing food!

Love this place. Since they added a nonsmoking section many years ago with a seperate entrance it makes it very inviting for kids. Colorful room my daughter loves the fishes on the wall and of course her pancake!

I eat here at least 3 times a week. I'm a single man and it's nice to go to a place with good home cooking and I feel like family when I walk in the door.

I dont go in here anymore because of the cigarette smoke, one time was all it took, cant say anything about the food,didnt stock around for it couldn't breathe.

This place has mold on the tables and it smells like smoke also there is a washer and dryer in the restroom it smells like smoke and the table are sticky not good service also the people are rude I got a headache from the smoke

Service and food is perfect.I drink lots of coffee. Refills were free.Food is home cooked style, except better then my mom's.

Great mom and pop place

Regular food, burger was fine. It is just what it should be. A big plus was the freedom to choose weather to sit in smoking or non-smoking.

Home made biscuits and breakfast was great , service was great !

Had breakfast here a couple of times. Didn't enjoy the food the first time but made a second visit to be fair and it was not any better. We didn't like the coffee at all. Maybe the other meals here are better than our 2 attempts at breakfast. We just didn't think it was very good.

One of the last "smoking allowed" places on Earth. Of course they have a non-smoking room available. Over-easy eggs a little runny. Heard a regular order over-medium. Otherwise, everything was real good!

Texas home cooking. They added a non smoking section which has increased our frequency of eating there. Friendly folks and good food. The kind of place us Texans love in a small town.

No nonsense, tasty hometown eats. Great friendly folks and "mom" making your meal in the kitchen. Tasty home cooking! Great after a day of fishing on the lake ! ☺️ Thanks, Mom!
